Our Team

Dr. Hindatu Mohammed

Dr. Mohammed received a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from Cornell University in 1999. She returned four years later to obtain her DVM from Cornell in 2007. Dr. Mohammed became certified in canine rehabilitation through the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine and launched Revive Veterinary Rehab in the fall of 2022. She is excited to explore ways to help improve the quality of life of her patients.

Dr. Derek Carn

Dr. Carn was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. He received his Bachelor’s in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University with a Minor in Communications. He then went on to become a graduate from Tuskegee University College of Veterinary Medicine to earn his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. Through his years of veterinary education, he began to develop a love and passion for rehabilitation and post-operative care of patients. He worked for the past 3 years in Dallas as a general practitioner and offered rehabilitation services. Dr. Carn became certified in canine rehabilitation through the Canine Rehabilitation Institute. He is very excited to start working with his patients and developing the appropriate treatment protocols to aide his patients for a better quality of life.

Outside of work, Dr. Carn spends time with his fiancé (who is also a veterinarian) and family. He also enjoys sporting events (huge Dallas Cowboys fan), travel, and martial arts. He holds a Third-degree black belt in Taekwondo and practices Kickboxing and Judo in his spare time. He is a proud and active member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.

Nicole Owens

Nicole has had a lifelong passion for animals, but hasn't always worked in the animal care field. After a career in the financial sector, she decided to pursue her Associate's degree in kinesiology at Austin Community College. Her transition into the veterinary world began at the Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter. As an animal care technician, she discovered the profound impact of hands-on care, igniting a desire to improve the quality of life for animals in need. Though she is continuing her education in physical therapy for humans, she is applying the principles of kinesiology and therapeutic exercise to the rehabilitation of pets at Revive Veterinary Rehab.

Outside of work and school, Nicole loves spending time with her family, cooking, and hiking with her dog King.

Maricela Silva Gonzalez

Maricela has spent the past three years working in a general practice veterinary setting, where she gained hands-on experience in animal care and discovered just how much she loves helping both pets and their people. Whether it's assisting in appointments or comforting a nervous patient, she's built a strong foundation-and a few fur-covered scrubs along the way. Her time in the field has only strengthened her passion, and she's excited to take the next step toward starting veterinary school.

Outside of work, Maricela can usually be found on the hunt for new food spots, adding to her list of favorites one bite at a time. At home, she spends plenty of time with her own crew-her dog, cat, and snakes—who definitely keep life interesting and prove that her love for animals goes beyond just the typical pets. When she's not caring for animals, she enjoys getting lost in a good book or spending quality time with friends and family.
